Water reuse and quality technologies

Challenge Summary

Most mining activities take place in water-stressed regions of the world and decreasing water resource availability means the government prioritizes domestic access over the mining activities. This makes the reuse and treatment of wastewater in mining applications a primary concern coupled with environmental policy and regulation. It's essential to properly treat the metalloid present in trace amounts in mine wastewater and the discharge needs to be monitored while making sure that there is no toxic effect on the environment.
